Three cheers for the Monadnock Food Co-op opening oh so soon in Keene! It will be pretty darn wonderful to have a large grocery store/Co-op where we all can buy local & good healthy food. Many area farms will have their products there as well, like Manning Hill Farm, Mayfair Farm, and Walpole Valley Farms, to name just a few. I am super excited that they are featuring/using a number of my Locally Known photographs for their marketing, newsletters, posters & signs…I am sharing one with you today, featuring the fabulous Caserta family @ Walpole Valley Farms. According to the Monadnock Food Co-op, they have made large posters, with my photographs, to hang above the registers…can’t wait to see what the other posters are!
Have you had a chance to experience the uber-fabulous Erin Sweeney or her Amazing Art? If not, I highly suggest you stop her on the street to say hello (she will send sunshine & joy your way) or browse her Lovely in the Home Press Studio at her next open house…Erin is just lovely, her art is fantastic & her studio makes one yearn for a space to create & imagine the days away. I was really excited to photograph Erin at work in her studio, as I have loved her book arts for many many years. When I went to her studio for the first time, a few years ago, I was blown away by how creative Erin is…her studio is filled with various projects, from homemade books, to drawings, to letterpress posters…and she uses many mediums, like fabric, ink, woodcuts, paper, unique fibers…oh the list goes on and on. Erin offers workshops for both adults & kids, she exhibits her art all over, she teaches, she curates…the woman doesn’t stop. And, as mentioned, she is as lovely as can be ~ A huge thank you to Erin for allowing me to follow her creativity for a day!
