But the ability to have someone capture those first moments as a new family is simply priceless…I can’t wait to meet her babe this fall!

…or should my title be “these boots were made for walkin’….this family drove from VT for their session, and thankfully, the weather was perfect! I always cross my fingers extra hard when a family is traveling from out of town (or out of state!) for their session because we really need the weather goddesses to bring out the sun for us…and we were not let down on this evening. The T. family was fun, full of laughter, and I just adored these dresses. Yes, I am biased because they are super-cool brown, but the girls looked just adorable! And, seriously, those boots!! First, I would like to thank everyone for their wonderful nominations…I received over 40 nominations! It was an incredibly difficult process to pick the winning family; everyone had an amazing story and I was so touched by all of them.
The family chosen is the N. family of Jaffrey…they are facing huge challenges right now, both medically, emotionally & financially, and they are working hard to get through each day. I am honored to provide them with a session to capture their family memories and also to serve as a reminder of all the joy they do have in their lives.

I can’t hold back…There are FIVE sneak peek images to show off! I just had so much fun with the L. family, and it was so hard to choose from the vast amount of fabulous images in their session that I had to post 5 this time ~ I started documenting their family memories when the youngest was just 6 months old, and it is always an honor (and so fun!) to spend time with them. This year was extra super awesome (yes, that’s a real description) because the girls really got into having their photographs taken; they were super silly, jumped around, and found the coolest places to explore…K&A, you two are the best! A few more from this amazing session ~ what i loved about this family, and about many of my clients, is that they understand what I am trying to do, understand the art I am creating for them. This awesome family didn’t try too hard, they are just themselves. There were a few moments of me setting up an image for them, but I really just hung out & captured the moments as they happened. As it should be.
