When I heard that Mayfair Farm was going to be shearing some of their sheep, I drive right over to Harrisville with camera in hand ~ It was my first time witnessing this age-old process. I didn’t realize the art, technique and finesse involved in shearing sheep until I spent a couple of hours watching from my corner of the barn. Jessica from Healthy Herds was on hand to work her magic on the sheep… I could really see how much practice a person needs (and strength!) to shear a sheep.
